Hi, I'm Tim.
I was born and raised in Aotearoa, New Zealand. I’m now at Berkeley , studying computer science & stats.
I enjoy exploring the quiet details of daily life, and seek to design coherent experiences realised through interaction. My interests lie in systems [kernels, optimisation], inference & perception [vision, colour].
CURRENTLY
I am teaching CS 162. For fun, I enjoy travelling and taking photos , playing table tennis and building custom keyboards & PCs .
PREVIOUSLY
I was VP of Machine Learning @ Berkeley , interned at Susquehanna for Quantitative Strategy Development, and at Apple in the Silicon Engineering Group.
TEACHING
I believe careful pedagogy is most important to any society. We should aim to democratise education, sharing knowledge to anyone who seeks it. I was a TA for CS 162 (Operating Systems) and Head TA for Data 8 (Data Science). Please see my teaching experience and resources here.
